Key features

WBP waterproof glue bond

Weather and Boil Proof adhesive ensures the panel holds together under prolonged moisture exposure in Mauritius’s humid and coastal conditions.

Marine-grade construction

Engineered wood panel with void-free core — consistent structural performance across the full sheet.

Square format — easy to handle

1220 × 1220mm sheets are easier to transport, store and cut on site compared to full-length panels.

Versatile thickness range

Available in 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm and 25mm to suit roofing, flooring, sheathing and structural applications.

Installation guidance

Fix sheets to timber rafters or purlins with edges running perpendicular to the rafters, staggering sheet joints between rows for structural continuity.

Use 50–65mm ring-shank galvanised nails or coarse-thread screws at 150mm centres along panel edges and 300mm centres in the field.

Maintain a 3mm expansion gap at all sheet joints to allow for moisture movement in Mauritius’s humid conditions.

Install roofing underlayment or sisalation immediately after decking. Do not leave boards exposed to prolonged rain before the roof covering is installed.

Frequently asked questions

How many sheets do I need?

Calculate the total area in m² and divide by 1.49 (area per sheet). Add 10–15% for cutting waste on hip and gable roofs. Round up to the nearest whole sheet.

What fixings should I use?

50–65mm ring-shank galvanised nails or coarse-thread roofing screws. Ring-shank nails provide better pull-through resistance in Mauritius’s high-wind and cyclone-prone conditions.

Is this board suitable for Mauritius’s climate?

Yes. The WBP glue bond is designed for exterior and humid conditions. Install underlayment or sisalation as soon as possible after fixing, and seal all edges in coastal or high-humidity locations.
