Drymix Karoflex C2ES1 is an improved flexible cementitious tile adhesive with extended open time, specifically recommended for large format porcelain and natural stone tiles. Class C2ES1 with S1 deformability — the most versatile tile adhesive in the Drymix range. Tested by LGAI/APPLUS notified laboratory, compliant with EN 12004, ISO 9001 certified.

Key advantages over Karofix C1E:
– Double adhesion strength: ≥ 1.0 N/mm² vs ≥ 0.5 N/mm²
– S1 deformability — accommodates substrate movement
– Extended open time: > 30 min vs 20 min
– Faster full cure: 7 days vs 14 days (including swimming pools)
– Suitable for wooden substrates — Karofix cannot
– Suitable for natural stone tiles
– Tiles up to 10,000 cm² (100×100 cm) with back-buttering

Tile size suitability: All sizes up to 10,000 cm² recommended across all applications — interior/exterior floors and walls, wet areas, pools, natural stone and over existing tiles.

Coverage per 25 kg bag:
– Single buttering (10×10×10 notch, trowel at 60°): 6.9 m²
– Double buttering + back adhesion (2.5 mm): 4.3 m²
– Double buttering both sides with notched trowel: 3.9 m²

Technical Performance (EN 12004 / ISO 9001 — LGAI/APPLUS certified):
– All tensile adhesion values: ≥ 1.0 N/mm² (initial, heat ageing, water immersion, freeze/thaw)
– Open time after 30 min: ≥ 0.5 N/mm²

Not suitable for: metal, rubber or PVC surfaces; where fast-set adhesive is required.

Application:
Moisten surface with masonry brush. Add bag to 7.125 L water, mix mechanically, rest 5 min. Apply with notched trowel. Back-butter tiles > 600×600 mm and for pools, basins and heavy-load floors. Grout walls after 5–8 hours, floors after 48 hours. Do not wet tiles before installation. If adhesive forms a skin, re-comb with notched trowel — never wet it as water creates an anti-adhesive film.

Precautions:
– Wear gloves and goggles during handling
– Avoid contact with eyes and skin
– In case of contact, rinse abundantly with clean water
