Drymix — Karofix C1E — Standard Tile Adhesive

Drymix Karofix C1E is a standard cementitious tile adhesive for ceramic and porcelain tiles on interior and exterior walls and floors, including wet areas and swimming pools. Its thixotropic properties prevent slip and sag on vertical surfaces. Tested by LGAI/APPLUS notified laboratory, compliant with EN 12004, ISO 9001 certified.

Tile size suitability:
– Up to 1600 cm²: recommended single bedding for all surfaces, wet areas, pools and over existing tiles
– 1600–1800 cm²: single bedding + back buttering recommended
– Above 3600 cm²: not recommended

Substrate curing required before tiling:
– New concrete: minimum 6 weeks
– New screed: minimum 4 weeks
– New render: minimum 2 weeks

Coverage per 25 kg bag:
– Single buttering (10×10×10 notch, trowel at 60°): 6.9 m²
– Double buttering + back adhesion (2.5 mm): 4.3 m²
– Double buttering both sides with notched trowel: 3.9 m²

Technical Performance (EN 12004 / ISO 9001 — LGAI/APPLUS certified):
– Initial tensile adhesion: ≥ 0.5 N/mm²
– After heat ageing: ≥ 0.5 N/mm²
– After water immersion: ≥ 0.5 N/mm²
– After freeze/thaw cycles: ≥ 0.5 N/mm²
– Open time after 30 min: ≥ 0.5 N/mm²

Not suitable for: wood, metal, rubber or PVC surfaces; surfaces with strong movement or vibration; where fast-set adhesive is required.

Application:
Moisten surface with masonry brush. Add bag to water (floor: 8.25 L, wall: 7.0 L), mix smooth, rest 2–3 min. Apply with straight edge then comb with notched trowel. Press tile firmly within open time. Grout walls after 5–8 hours, floors after 24 hours. Minimum joint width 2–5 mm.

Precautions:
– Wear gloves and goggles during handling
– Avoid contact with eyes and skin
– In case of contact, rinse abundantly with clean water
