What the Grant Covers — Rs 15,000 Total
The DBM Water Tank Grant Scheme provides eligible Mauritian households with a total grant of Rs 15,000, broken down as follows:

The grant is provided by the Development Bank of Mauritius (DBM) and is processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
⚠️ Important
The grant is only available for households with a gross monthly income of less than Rs 60,000. The grant cannot be used for second-hand tanks or at non-registered suppliers.
Am I Eligible?
To qualify for the DBM Water Tank Grant, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- Your gross monthly household income is below Rs 60,000
- You or your spouse are the owner of the property where the tank will be installed, or you are a tenant with a valid rent book and owner’s written permission
- You or your spouse are the official CWA customer for the property
- No member of your household has previously received a DBM water tank grant under any scheme
- Your application has not already been processed and approved under a previous version of the scheme
Tenants — What You Need
- Updated rent book
- Recent CWA bill for the property
- Owner’s ID card (copy)
- Written letter of permission from the property owner

- Gather your documents — ID card, CWA bill, proof of ownership or tenancy, household income details
- Apply through DBM — submit your application directly to the Development Bank of Mauritius. Visit www.dbm.mu or contact your nearest DBM branch
- Receive your DBM coupon or approval — DBM will notify you once your application is approved
- Come to QBM in Phoenix — bring your DBM coupon/ticket and our team will process your order, arrange installation-ready delivery, and handle the grant paperwork
